Our monthly Ghiyarvi Shareef and Shab-e-Barat programme will take place on Tuesday 1st May after Maghrib (at 8:41 pm).
There will be a short talk in English after Maghrib namaz. After this we will offer the Salat-ul-Tasbih namaz with jamaat before Isha. We will end with the salaam and the congregrational Dua before distribution of food.
The hadiths tell us that we should offer Nafli Namaaz, recite the Quran, perform Zikir, read Salaam, and make Dua on the night of 15th of Shaban (that is the night between the 14th and 15th day) and keep an optional fast during the day on the 15th. On this Shab-e-Barat, we are told that doors of mercy and forgiveness are thrown open by Allah (subhan wa tallah). We are told we can be pardoned if we sincerely repent for our sins and seek forgiveness from Allah (swt).
We are told that we should offer the Salat-ul-Tasbih namaz every day if we can, but at least once in a life time as Allah (swt) will forgive our sins if we do. Read details of how to offer Salat ul Tasbih with the jamaat or by yourself if you can not attend.
We invite all our older male students along with their older brothers, fathers and uncles to benefit from this very special night. The masjid will be open for those wishing to offer Nafli prayers.
